No. 9 wax is a proprietary formula primarily comprised of coconut wax with a small amount of soy and food grade paraffin. This wax is cruelty free, phthalate free, paraben free, vegan, and non-carcinogenic.
No.9 wax needs small wicks, (we recommend our CDN wick series). Please see our wicking recommendations for our vessels on each vessel's product page. This wax provides a beautiful reset, great adhesion, and easy wicking.
We recommend heating slightly past 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and adding fragrance oil no lower than 200 degrees. These higher temps help the wax and the fragrance oil to bind. You will not burn off your fragrance oil, regardless of flashpoint, (this is a myth). You only need to stir your fragrance oil for about 20 seconds and pour immediately. Recommended pouring temp is around 185 F, although this wax can be poured hotter without issue.
Fragrance Load: No.9 wax can accommodate a fragrance load up to 12% with most fragrance oils. Please conduct your own testing to ensure candle safety, as each fragrance oil may behave differently.
Melt Point: 124-128 degrees F.
Flash Point: 415 degrees F.
Wax is sold by pallet weight from the manufacturer. Some wax slabs and cases may vary in weight by +/- 5%.
