I am also new to candle making. I am in love with the fragrance oils. My home smells amazing. I will definitely be buying more.
I made a couple of candles for myself with this fragrance using the Evermore Blush (Silver Rim) vessel, and the black metal bowl. I cured the candle made in the Evermore vessel for one week, and lit it a few days ago. This is an absolutely lovely fragrance. It has a beautiful hot and cold throw. I use a 10% fragrance load in all of my candles, and this scent can be smelled throughout my open concept living room. When I pass by the unlit candle I can smell it. It is so "rose" and I love it! I have had customers ask for a rose scent, and I know that they will love this one. I will be adding it to my upscale collection. I plan on lighting the candle that I made in the black metal bowl this coming weekend -- probably in my bedroom!
I am a new candlemaker and have been looking for statement-making, luxury fragrances for my candles and stumbled upon Sixteen Seventeen. I'm not normally a floral person, but I wouldn't be much of a business owner if I only made things I like, so I ordered this one because I figured it sounded interesting with the black tea note. It is SO lovely, verdant, green, fresh, floral yes - but not cloyingly so. Some florals, especially with rose, can skew more mature and grandma perfume smelling, but this is clean and fresh and really chic. I haven't used it yet so I can't say for certain how good the hot/cold throw is, but first impressions out of the bottle is that this will be a lovely addition to my collection.
