I purchased CDN 6 wicks for jars > 3” diameter. I did not get a full melt pool with one wick, tried two wicks and it was too hot. I have now ordered the wick sampler pack so I can fine tune the wicks in. Very happy with this purchase as it gave me an excellent starting point with a quality wick.
Hi Patricia,
Thanks for taking the time to write a review! Using our waxes and our fragrances, a 3 inch diameter cylinder will typically take a CDN size 6 wick, however, there are some exceptions. Before going up to a size 7 wick, please do make sure you have gone through at least 2 burn cycles of at least 4 hours minimum. With our slow burning waxes, (and that's a good thing!), we want to make sure you're not 'failing' the wick prematurely and ending up with a candle that is too hot at mid-burn.

To me there magical don't have a problem burns great ìn Baltic vessel ..
Consistently the best CDN wicks available!
I am interested in sizes 6-8 for single wicking jars with exactly 3” diameter. (for testing on 10 different fragrance oils using Soy Bliss)- please help me.
Hi John,
We recommend to begin testing with CDN size 6. For further help, please call or email our support staff. (925) 826-5212 or support@sixteenseventeen.com

I’m new to using regular cotton wicks as I usually use wooden wicks but I’ve been having a lot of trouble shooting with them so I decided to give the traditional wicks a go. I LOVE these! Used two CDN 6 in a 3.75 width vessel with soybliss wax and it burned beautifully! Amazing hot throw and no sooting!!! I’m going to give the CDN 7 a go in the 3.75 vessel just as a test but I definitely recommend these wicks. Wished I tried them sooner!
