Smells like a french macaroon cookie. Delicate and Delicious: yes! Decadent: not so much. Also, the oil is darker in color and will turn your wax/soap a bit darker as well but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Overall, it’s a beautiful scent with good HT (using coco #3 wax), and will buy again. It doesn’t smell like a rich, decadent dessert but will try adding a chocolate or caramel note to enhance it.
I usually love all of the fragrances, but this one is definitely a miss! I bought it mainly for the top notes and I am not getting any of that. I bought the 16oz because all of the fragrances have been on point with the exception of the last two. With being a one person owner, giving away money is not an option.
I hate to leave a less than favorable review but makers like myself depend on reviews to help us decide if we should purchase a scent. Although they describe this as gourmand with notes of cherry, almond, vanilla and tonka, none of those notes stand out to me. It smells more like a clean floral. If you're looking for a beachy, clean, floral, with a hint of fabric softener, you may like this. It doesn't smell bad and is nice quality but if you're looking for it to smell like tonka which has a vanilla almond-cherry smell, this one may be disappointing.
I haven't used this in a product yet, but it smells very similar to Viktor and Rolf "Flowerbomb" perfume. But much lighter. It's nice.
I am a food scent freak. They are by far my favorites from Vanilla to Pumpkin Pie. I have to say that this one, although very nice, has a floral scent added in (Jasmin) and it kind of wrecks what would otherwise be the perfect blend. Still like it but could have done without the floral addition.
