An Important Mission:
BCMC seeks to support, encourage, and promote black entrepreneurs within the candle industry. BCMC promotes diversity and inclusion by providing knowledge and resources to a small but growing demographic.
A Unique Approach:
With many candle-oriented Facebook groups to choose from, it’s not easy to know where to spend your time. The BCMC Facebook group is laser focused on providing frequent, and meaningful, live tutorials and workshops in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: candle making tutorials, entrepreneurship, marketing, social media, business insurance, and forming business entities, among others. The unrivaled support and benefits that BCMC offers its members is simply unparalleled in our industry.
An Exciting Future:
The BCMC University was created to take chandlers to the next level with access to an exclusive content-based video library, live interactive courses with expert candle industry content coaches, course completion certificates to highlight success, student Q & A support lounge, various chandler templates & resources, discounted BCMC merchandise, consultations/office hours with coaches for one-on-one support, and a candle-making mentorship program for members to partner up with other candle makers. Sixteen Seventeen’s Involvement:
Since the founding of BCMC in 2020, 16/17 has been a proud ally and sponsor, offering live tutorials on BCMC Facebook group and University, as well as donating candle making supplies used in BCMC’s raffle giveaways. We are proud to be an affiliate of BCMC University, offering discounts for university students, sneak-peaks of new product launches, candle supplies donations, and supplemental candle making education, among others. We are thrilled to take part in funding scholarship opportunities for the BCMC community.
